Vintage has very quickly become the new thing, and now sneaker brands, too, are jumping on the bandwagon. Even Nike is taking part in the craze, imitating their past offerings not in colorway nor original materials but in age. This is true of this upcoming Dunk Low, whose midsole features a yellowed finish not unlike pairs far, far older. The rest of the construction, however, is par for the modern course. Leathers lack the patina of the “Vintage Green,” flaunting instead a smooth, rather standard shade of grey. Underneath, the base is outfitted in white as is expected, while the Swoosh, heel tab and outsole opt for a dark black, complementing that of the laces as well as the tongue label’s usual branding.
