As the being formerly known as “Kanye West” continues to draw criticism of the handling of his divorce, the 44-year-old continues to bless fans with more styles from his Adidas Yeezy line.
Taking a break from the ever-divisive, but popular Yeezy Foam Runner and Yeezy Slides, the Three Stripes-backed imprint is set to revisit one of its newer, but neglected silhouettes: the Yeezy 700 v3. Free of any Boost-cushioning, the third iteration of Ye’s original “dad shoe” introduced refreshing design cues in the world of footwear when it debuted in December 2019. Having released outside of North America in “Safflower” back in November 2020, the “Mono Safflower” style of Yeezy‘s upcoming drop covers more of the Primeknit upper in shades of yellowish-orange than on the original. TPU overlays across the profiles also don an orange finish under the proper lighting conditions, further delivering a touch of the future not only to the Adidas-supported roster, but also Ye’s. Underfoot, the midsole compliments the upper well, housing standard foam instead of the Boost material that’s helped make several Yeezys some of the most comfortable shoes on the market.
