Much of the AF1’s 40th Anniversary was spent creating new colorways and collaborations. But here, the Swoosh is looking a bit further into the past, unearthing the Air Force 1 High “Columbia Blue” that was released in the early 2000s.
For 2022, Nike has lightly aged up the decades-old offering, applying a yellowed, vintage-inspired finish to the midsole. The upper’s leathers, though, opt for a more pristine white shade, which complements not only the laces but the text across the tongue label and heel tab. And much like the Swoosh, strap, and tread, the latter two fixtures flaunt the bold “Columbia Blue,” completing a relatively faithful homage to a much older release.
