To coincide with the Tokyo Olympics, the Air Jordan 36 was introduced to the market last August in a series of PE-style colorways made for actively playing members of the Jordan Brand roster of athletes. Spanning several countries including the US, Canada, China, Japan, and Slovenia, that Air Jordan 36 was each decorated after the respective flags of the nations they represent. Guo Ailun, who received a red/yellow PE, gets the lucky distinction of having another PE, and this one continues a jade-colored theme that has stuck with Jordan Brand’s relations with China for years.
Dubbed the “Global Game” edition, this Air Jordan 36 features a white base with vivid jade green accents on the upper as well as on the intricate pattern seen beneath the mesh overlay. The “G” logo, inspired by ancient Chinese lettering, is seen on the heel loops, with additional messaging on the inner side of the tongue. Finally, hits of neon volt appears around the shoe, adding a new layer to the traditional jade and red combo seen in China-themed releases.
A release date has been confirmed for February 23rd on Nike SNKRS China in adult and GS sizes.
