Debuting over a year ago at his FW21 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, Jun Takahashi’s next Nike Dunk High is finally scheduled for a release this season. Intended to drop as part of Nike’s collaborative product line in FW21, supply chain issues have caused uncontrollable delays across the globe, meaning many of the seasonally-focused projects from the brand’s creative partners will not release in time. Still, it’s better late than never, and this upcoming Dunk High should be ready to go soon.
Utilizing the Dunk High 1985 silhouette, meant to be an exact re-creation of the original mold, UNDERCOVER brings its simplistic black.white look by way of a flat and tumbled leather, white speckling on the midsole, and its recurring CHAOS/BALANCE thematic onto the heel via overtly bold lettering. BALANCE, however, is written in German as GLEICHGEWICHT, while “NEUES LEBEN” (New Life) and “NEUER LARM” (New Sound/Noise) appear right at the rear collar.
Currently, retailers overseas are expecting these to launch of February 28th, so check out the official images and peruse the store list ahead (it will be updated regularly).
