In addition to a number of high-profile collaborations, NIKE, Inc. has prepped handfuls of expansive sneaker collections on its own. The “Nike Athletic Club” lineup, which commemorates sports clubs of the 1970s and ’80s, has delivered more than a dozen options, with the latest arriving in the form of a Nike Dunk High.
Previously seen in Grade School sizing, the grey, white and red-colored take on Peter Moore’s iconic 37-year-old design is also set to launch for adults. Base layers opt for tried-and-proven “colorless” leather, while overlays at the toe, along with the tongue, and across the heel deviate in a cool grey-colored suede. “DUNK” is debossed at the lateral heel, whereas profile swooshes don an eye-catching ruby hue. Tongues and areas directly underneath the collar revert to an understated grey but introduce a suit-friendly fabric into the mix. The Nike Dunk rounds out its collection-specific ensemble with the capsule’s name on the tongue label, stylized in a retro font.
No firm Nike SNKRS release details have been disclosed by the brand yet, but that’s likely to change as the summer inches closer. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
