As reports have surfaced about price increases to the Air Jordan 1, NIKE, Inc. continues to churn out new colorways of the silhouette’s accompanying trims. Recently a kid’s Air Jordan 1 Mid appeared in a “Washed Denim” ensemble.
Unlike some of the model’s most celebrated outfits, the upcoming sneakers abandon a “colorless,” smooth leather base in favor of a denim material covered in different wash patterns. Overlays around the forefoot, along with the tongue, and across the heel don’t indulge in the Jordan 1‘s titular rugged cotton material, but they also boast a rich blue that flirts with the fan-favorite “University Blue” hue that’s dominated some of NIKE, Inc.’s most coveted releases of the last three years. Profile swooshes and “Wings” insignias on the lateral ankle flap favor a clean white look, which also lands on the midsole underfoot. Lastly, tread rounds out the ensemble in the same tone that takes over most of the overlays up-top.
