Virgil Abloh, through his work both at Off-White and Louis Vuitton, has made an ever-fixed mark on the world of fashion. And while some may still criticize the designer’s creations and methods, no one can deny that he poured his blood, sweat, and tears into making every collection a success.
To pay respect to Abloh’s legacy, The Shoe Surgeon presents the Legacy AJ1s, a two-piece collection that draws inspiration from the Damier and Monogram Louis Vuitton x Air Force 1.
The capsule’s Air Jordan 1 High is a much closer replication of the original colorway. Built of authentic LV bags, the silhouette features the iconic monogram-patterned leather across its entire profile, flaunting both the usual logo hits and elegant brown finish. This is then paired with the lighter Damier canvas, which outfits the toe, collar, and Swoosh.
The Air Jordan 1 Low proffers an identical quality, though the colorway itself reverses that of the AJ1 High. Damier canvas takes a much greater portion of the stage, while its darker counterpart is relegated to the toe, heel tab, and Swoosh.
