Save for a couple collaborations and in-line Kikos, the Japanese footwear brand had trouble standing out amongst Jordan Brand’s many Retros and even Crocs’ collaborative efforts with Salehe Bembury. But things may change in 2022, as AFEW has already done quite a good job at directing eyes back to the beloved GEL-LYTE III.
Here, GR offerings are capitalizing on the boutique’s labor, throwing down the line not one but two tonal make-ups. And aside from their respective pink and navy ensembles, the duo are designed in the very same way, with suede building out both overlay and under. The pairs’ Tiger logos are also done in the same embroidered fashion. But unlike the aforementioned fixtures, the laces and midsole are identical regardless of colorway, opting for a flat cream finish.
